Resources
Use a class Google account instead of individual accounts.

Use the line, scribble, and shape tools. Select the line and fill color.
Project Ideas
- Read students a story and have them draw a picture to show a character, setting, and/or major event in the story. Students may add audio and/or text describing the character, setting, or event.
- After sharing a science concept with students, have them create a picture to show what they know, then add an audio and/or text explanation.
Tech Basics
Take care of things: To take care of keyboards, teach students to not pick at the keys and to not eat or drink over their keyboard. To take care of headphones, teach students to not twist the headphones or remove earpieces and to hang out place them in the designated spot. If students use personal earbuds, remind them not to share.
Save your work: Google Docs and Drawings automatically save. Teach students to use the Save button in other apps and programs such as Little Bird Tales. Chromebooks cannot be directly connected to a printer, but teachers can use Google Cloud Print to share the school copier attached to their laptop or desktop with their class Google account. Since the documents will be stored on the copier, you can choose what to print.
Typing Agent
Students use their District account to login with ClassLink.
Typing Skills: 2nd grade students can begin learning keyboarding using a formal program later in the school year. Earlier in the year, they can use other apps they already use to continue practicing finding letters and numbers on the keyboard and using the shift key to type capital letters
